Influenced by the superb film ‘Conclave’ with Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci the artist suggests the possibility of a conclave of cats, after all black cats and religion are both imbued with mystical overtones. In this picture the choice has been made, one black cat has very wisely selected the company of cooks and their world. Cooks will provide food and often delicious morsels and they are safe in their ambitions which are to concoct wonderful dishes and feed others rather than grab power and money. Do not underestimate the cook! The other cats stand in the foreground looking perturbed.
